For week 1 blog I have chosen this photo that I took at Corona Del Mar Beach earlier this year. I love taking pictures of sunsets and spending time at the beach. It gives me a sense of relaxation and peace of mind. The position and visibility of the sun really stuck out to me. The sun is illuminating the beach creating a layer of warm colors underneath the blue skies but also creating a shadow on the people walking on the sand. I can also see the reflection of the sun on the ocean and the rays that are creating a diagonal line across the screen. The sun is also highlighting the grooves and the details of the sand which gives the picture texture.

Hi Tyra! What a beautiful photo. This photo perfectly encapsulates peace of mind, like you mentioned. I enjoy the many different textures of this photo. There's the divots in the sand, smooth sky, people, small clouds in the distance, different textures in the water, and much more. The star of this photo has to be the sun itself, how you can see the yellow sun, then the color surrounding it is orange for a while, until it fades into the blue sky. You can also see the color fade into a white undertone, before it goes back into blue sky.
ReplyDeleteLike my photo, the light rays are reflecting in diagonal lines, I wonder why this happens.
Hi Tyra! This photo feels so peaceful and inviting. I really like how you noticed the details of the sunlight on the sand and the reflection on the water, it captures that quiet, warm feeling of being at the beach during sunset.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photo. The foreground and background color perfectly sums up why we crave this contrast in theatre. The texture of the sand is incredible. Nice post and connection from the light to your emotional response.
ReplyDeleteYou put Week 1 in your post but it was the Week 2 post - next one will be Week 4
