I took this picture when I went to Disneyland. This was Buzz lightyear on the "Paint the Night" parade. The whole parade is based on lights and I found it really cool that there was what seems to be LED lights all around the slinky part of the dog from toy story. Then there were lights from under surrounded the dog and buzz as the parade kept moving along. The lighting really came to life because it was dark at night and it felt very nostalgic to watch. Made younger me happy!
As artists, we see the world in unique ways, and we all draw inspiration from our surroundings. These blog posts are designed to help you see lighting differently—deepening your appreciation for light in daily life and broadening your artistic vision. Nice post - I saw that parade the other night and enjoyed the myriad of color and movement created by the lighting and matched by the performers :). I love that you are recognized all the layers of light that add up to the whole picture. Please make sure to put the post prompt in the title of the blog and also specifically mention it in the text for the photo.
ReplyDeleteI Love Disneyland and Buzz is an iconic spot! I absolutely feel the feeling of nostalgia and childlike joy whenever i see characters and especially with a paint the night parade! Something about the lighting frames their form and costuming so we see them but the audience can see the whole float. The blues and purples melt into each other so nicely and frames the photo and Characters well.
