Here I have my 3 photos from the Irvine Spectrum for the week 8 blog. The top one is the overall photo prompt. I really liked this spot because it showcased the Christmas tree from far away but also the palm trees in the distance. The layout and placement of the trees really attracts someone in but I also thing the palm trees being lit up attracts people into the Christmas tree as well. The second photo I have is the lighting that I didn't think was the best. This was at blk dot coffee. I thought the lighting brought a weird vibe into the coffee shop. I don't think they needed more lighting I just think it could be different. I will say the structure they have is really cool, I just don't like the light it omits. The bottom and last picture was at dizzy bird which was at a Lebanese food spot (shoutout Lebanon). I really liked the lighting in this spot and maybe I am biased because my favorite color is pink. I think the structure were cool, the way they were hanging but I really thought it was an appropriate amount of light and not too intense. I really enjoyed the site specific blog and have been noticing light a lot more throughout my everyday life.
The pink in your third picture looks favorite dope! I am glad you were able to capture it , I don't think it is biased at all that you chose that. I think the addition with their sign too it complements the lighting in that environment well! Thanks for sharing Ramin!
ReplyDeleteHi Ramin! I have to agree, the coffee shop lighting was strange. I am not sure if it was because of the tone of the lights or there was not enough light in there. I do like the hanging lights in the photo, but they are not contributing to create good lighting.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Great analysis of each photo and good to know about pink. I do agree with the difference in shops from the photos. The 2nd shop is so much more dynamic. I also enjoyed your analysis of the 1st photo/site, as in lighting, one of our primary jobs is to direct the eye and you got that one right on. Thank you!
